RUN Focus conference - Cafe Church

Run (Reaching the Unchurched Network) are hosting two one day conferences on Cafe culture:

Wed March 5th - Altrincham
Tue April 1st - Southampton

"Join us for a fascinating day exploring Café Church – what it is, who it’s for and how it works. Lots of stories, innovative ideas, personal reflections, modelling of a café style service, of course great food and all the coffee you can drink! We will be joined by several churches that are pioneering this model of mission in different formats and there will be plenty of time to engage with them and others who will be sharing the day with us. If you are exploring different styles of church or just wanting to investigate further then this day is for you.

Costing only £25 for the day including lunch and with 1 free place for every 3 paid places booked together, this day represents excellent value for money."

More information and online booking available from RUN

Re:source

When:

Starting October 2007 (Note: This course has now started. To enquire about future courses, please see the website below)

Where:

5 weekends across the UK

What?

If you’re involved in leading a new expression of church or seriously interested in starting something you maybe feeling a mixture of excitement and anticipation alongside the reality check of how hard it actually is to start a church from scratch.

ReSource trains people with a vision to engage in mission and start churches in the emerging culture. It’s a yearlong course based around 5 weekends, including a mix of training, coaching, worship and teaching to help you reflect creatively and develop skills to apply to your context.

Our aim is that by the end of the year you will:
• Be equipped to create church in the emerging culture
• Develop mission strategies for your specific context
• Explore and apply skills in leadership and discipleship
• Develop your capacity for spiritual and personal growth

“So many of the radical ideas are coming from the younger leaders who currently don't have the training, skills or clout to bring their dreams into reality. That's where ReSource comes in. I feel like if God gives me a vision now I've got the basic strategy tools as well as relationships with wise old heads to go for it.”

Mission Shaped Ministry Courses

When:

2007 onwards

Where:

Local churches across the UK

What?

  • The aim of the course is to prepare individuals and teams for pioneer ministry in fresh expressions of church within a mixed economy church.

  • We envisage that people will come as individuals and as teams.

  • We hope that many will begin the course as they are preparing to embark on a fresh expression of church but that others would come at a later or earlier stage in these ministries.

  • We hope that many clergy will take part in the course (as these elements have not traditionally been part of clergy training) alongside many lay people.

For a course brochure, dates, and further details, see the Fresh Expressions website
